During this offseason, the Eagles have certainly showed some "brotherly love" when they signed Stacy Andrews. Does that name sound familiar? Well it should considering that he is the brother of our current pro-bowl offensive lineman Shawn Andrews. Stacy Andrews is expected to fill a huge void in the Eagles offensive line. The Eagles are in danger of losing both Tra Thomas and John Runyan to free-agency this offseason. Both Thomas and Runyan are seasoned vets whose best years are well behind them. Stacy Andrews is expected to take over the right side of the offensive line which most of you Eagles fans know is John Runyan's stomping ground.

Stacy Andrews is a four year veteran to the NFL and has played all four of his seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. Andrews has played a total of 62 games with the Bengals in which he started 32 of them. The Bengals franchised Andrews in the 2008 season but opted not to re-sign him for this upcoming season. Lucky for us! Andrews is coming off of knee surgery in the offseason which reapired two torn ligaments in his knee (ACL and MCL). He tore both of those ligaments in the fifteenth game last season but he is expected to make a full recovery. The Eagles are very optomistic that he will be ready for the 2009 campaign. The details of the deal with the Eagles have not been released yey but Andrews is expected to visit Philadelphia this week where he will have a meeting with Andy Reid as-well as partake in a mandatory physical. If Andrew's passes the physical, he will help make an aging Eagles offensive line young once again.
